Text anonymization from Switzerland
Anonymize texts before they go into an AI tool.
Cuvo finds names, companies, addresses and numbers in your texts and replaces them with placeholders. You copy the anonymized text into the AI tool of your choice and restore the originals in its answer with one click.
Currently in beta: by invitation only and free of charge.
Your text
The lease between Anna Keller, Seestrasse 14, 8002 Zürich, and Immobilien Seeblick AG starts on 1 April 2026. IBAN: CH93 0076 2011 6238 5295 7
To the AI tool
The lease between [PERSON_1], [ADDRESS_1], [ADDRESS_2], and [ORGANIZATION_1] starts on [DATE_1]. IBAN: [IBAN_CODE_1]
How it works
- 1
Paste your text
Paste text or upload a file: Word, PDF, e-mail (.eml, .msg), CSV or plain text.
- 2
Review the hits
Cuvo highlights every hit. You remove what is not personal data and mark anything it missed by hand.
- 3
Share it anonymized
Copy the text with placeholders or download it as Word, CSV, Markdown or plain text. Word and CSV keep their structure.
- 4
Restore the answer
Paste the AI tool's answer: Cuvo puts the originals back. Save the mapping if you need it later, optionally encrypted with a password.
What is detected
Cuvo combines a multilingual AI model, running on our own server in Switzerland, with validation rules for Swiss and international numbers. Texts in German, French, Italian and English, mixed as well.

Frequently asked questions
How reliable is the detection?
Cuvo finds most personal data, but no automatic detection finds everything. That is why Cuvo shows every hit for review and marks uncertain ones. You mark anything missed by hand, and Cuvo replaces it everywhere in the text.
Does Cuvo see my texts?
The text is sent to our server in Switzerland for the analysis, processed in memory and discarded afterwards. We neither store nor log any content.
Which AI tools does Cuvo work with?
All of them: the anonymized text is plain text. Placeholders such as [PERSON_1] stay in the answer and are replaced when you restore it.
Can I sign up?
